Thursday 4th - Lone Pine and Blind River Scare
Lone Pine create a sonic stew akin to Wilco, My Morning Jacket or Neil Young at his most stubbornly adventurous. Also appealing to fans of The Boss or Creedence, they have opened shows for the likes of multi Grammy winner John Prine as well as a host of Uncut and broadsheet favourites including Richmond Fontaine, American Music Club, The Hold Steady and Jayhawks co-founders Mark Olson (who has also appeared on their recordings) and Gary Louris, to name a few. They have also appeared at two Green Man Festivals.
Blind River Scare describe their sound as "Americana-tinged, original bitter sweet songs, played within a fiddle-laced, laid back pop/rock template". They have previously opened for Vetiver, Midlake and Mark Eitzel. www.myspace.com/blindriverscare
