Storys

South Wales band The Storys arrive in Narberth following their appearance at Swansea Liberty Stadium June in supporting Elton John. The band the mix country rock harmonies of the Eagles and Crosby, Stills Nash & Young with the acoustic side of Led Zeppelin, as well as the West Coast Sound of the Byrds and The Burrito Bros. One of their exclusive track was recently featured in the film The Bank Job. One quote from The Times says" Balsamo has a truly spellbinding voice and The Storys' melodic manodlin-backed ballads and jaunty rockers should spark some serious interest.

Saturday 30th August - Richie Havens in concert

Richie Havens

Richie Havens is gifted with one of the most recognizable voices in popular music. His fiery, poignant, always soulful singing style has remained unique and ageless since he first emerged from the Greenwich Village folk scene in the early 1960’s. It’s a voice that has electrified audiences from the Woodstock Festival in 1969, to the White House in 1999, and Narberth today.

For over three decades, Richie Havens has used his music to convey messages of brotherhood and personal freedom With more than twenty-five albums released and a touring schedule that would kill many a younger man, he continues to view his calling as a higher one. He says "I really sing songs that move me, I’m not in show business, I’m in the communications business. That’s what it’s about for me".
